Trollinger Law LLC Now Taking Hometown Heroes Nominations
The law firm's seventh annual awards recognize first responders who have made a difference in the lives of Southern Maryland residents.
WALDORF, MD, September 04, 2026 -- Trollinger Law LLC is now accepting nominations for recipients of its annual Hometown Heroes Award. Every year, the firm honors first responders in Charles County and throughout Southern Maryland for their service to the community.
Nominations open today, and winners will be announced on Oct. 5, 2026.
The contest is open to all local first responders in the area, including but not limited to:
- Paramedics
- Police officers
- Firefighters
- Emergency response teams
- Public safety providers
- Emergency hospital facilities and workers
- Military service members
- Other emergency workers
Each winner will receive a $500 cash prize and four complimentary tickets to a luxury suite at the D.C. United game on October 24, where they can celebrate with other honorees and Trollinger Law staff. The honorees also will be recognized on the field at halftime.
Previous honorees have included current and retired members of the Charles County Sheriff's Office, Marine Corps, the Charles County Department of Emergency Medical Services, local police and fire departments, and volunteer rescue squads.
"We started Hometown Heroes as a way to honor a group of people whose efforts to protect and serve others often happen behind the scenes, with no expectation of recognition," says Matt Trollinger, founder of Trollinger Law and a personal injury and workers' compensation lawyer in Waldorf.
