Julia Pieri Wins Community Impact Through Animal Service Scholarship From Blakeley Car Accident & Personal Injury Lawyers
This Florida State University student will receive $2,000 ahead of her next semester.

This year, Florida State University student Julia Pieri moved the team with her story of the care she offered the "green-eyed dog," Zeke.
Pieri took over caring for Zeke after her friend, his original foster parent, got sick. "Helping care for Zeke also showed me how important foster networks are for rescue animals," she says. "Foster dogs rely on stability, routine, and kindness while they transition from uncertain pasts to hopeful futures. By stepping in while my friend was sick, I was able to help maintain that stability for him."
Pieri is pursuing dual degrees at Florida State University, studying Accounting and Economics with a minor in Commercial Entrepreneurship. She stays busy participating in pageants and advocating for breast cancer research. She also volunteers with the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program.
She also has a strong foundation set for her professional future. She spent the summer of 2026 working as a Receivable Intern at SBA Communications and plans to join CohnReznick as a Tax Intern in 2027.
Once she graduates, she intends to pursue her Master's degree and sit for the CPA exam. She hopes that her experience will make it easier for her to begin her career as a Certified Public Accountant, a role she intends to use to specialize in tax and public accounting.
