Shared Assessments Announces Launch of SIG Evolution (SIG EV) at the 2026 Third Party Risk Summit

SIG EV replaces the traditional workbook delivery model while maintaining the same SIG content, structure, and assessment methodology organizations have used for years.

NASHVILLE, TN, March 17, 2026 -- Shared Assessments, the global leader in third-party risk management (TPRM) standards, education, and products, today announced the launch of SIG Evolution (SIG EV) at the Shared Assessments 19th Annual Third-Party Risk USA Summit in Nashville.

SIG EV represents a pivotal first step in the modern evolution of the Standardized Information Gathering (SIG) Questionnaire, transitioning the widely used Excel-based SIG workbook into a secure, streamlined web-based platform while preserving the content and methodology organizations rely on today.

"For more than two decades, the SIG has helped organizations standardize how they assess third-party risk," said Andrew Moyad, Chief Executive Officer at Shared Assessments. "SIG EV represents the next step, modernizing how TPRM teams work with the SIG, while continuing to bring the industry together around shared standards, stronger supplier relationships, and better business outcomes. Vitally, the ultimate ability to transfer results across platforms and enable AI usage is closer to the full fruition our community needs."

The transition to SIG EV is designed to be seamless; organizations can import existing Excel-based SIG questionnaires directly into the platform. Users can build SIG Lite, SIG Core, or customized assessments using a guided interface, export questionnaires to Excel when needed, and distribute assessments to vendors using their existing processes.

"SIG EV modernizes how organizations work with the SIG while preserving the trusted questionnaire and assessment approach the industry already relies on," said Kelcey Reed, Chief Technology Officer at Shared Assessments. "Risk teams can continue using the same SIG content and workflows they know today, now delivered through a secure, browser-based environment."

Importantly, SIG EV modernizes the delivery method without disrupting established workflows. Vendors can continue to complete SIG questionnaires offline in Excel, and organizations can upload completed responses to compare results, highlight mismatches, and streamline review.

Key capabilities of SIG EV include:

- Secure, browser-based access with no software installation required
- Import of existing SIG Excel files with automatic version detection
- Guided creation of SIG Lite, SIG Core, and customized assessments
- Continued support for Excel-based vendor response workflows
- Automated comparison tools to streamline assessment review

Attendees at the 2026 Shared Assessments Third Party Risk Summit, taking place March 18–19 in Nashville, will have the opportunity to experience SIG EV through live demonstrations and interactive sessions during the event.
