Shincheonji Volunteer Group Joins Nationwide Effort to Clean Up America's Beaches

Volunteers Take Action Following National Clean Beaches Week

NEW YORK, NY, July 14, 2025 -- Following National Clean Beaches Week (July 1–7), the Shincheonji Volunteer Group (SVG) mobilized volunteers on Sunday, July 13 to clean up Jones Beach in Nassau County. A total of 100 participants gathered near the West Bathhouse before splitting up to begin the volunteer project.

Armed with gloves, bags, and a commitment to service, SVG volunteers walked along the beach collecting garbage, plastic and debris left along the shoreline. Despite the heat, the group was eager to help and make a positive impact within the local community.

The Shincheonji Volunteer Group is one of the largest volunteer groups in the world. SVG projects are hosted not only in South Korea where the organization is headquartered, but also in countries around the world.

SVG plans to organize volunteer projects on a monthly basis in New York. To learn more about the Shincheonji Volunteer Group, contact us at scjvolunteergroup@gmail.com.
