SuperCrowdLA Grants Free Tickets to Fire-Affected Entrepreneurs at First-Ever California Conference

Event features speakers from LA-based StartEngine and Netcapital, a live pitch from Azure Printed Homes, and is the largest SuperCrowd conference to date.

    LOS ANGELES, CA, April 22, 2025 -- SuperCrowdLA, a major national conference for impact investors and mission-driven entrepreneurs, is offering free tickets to small business owners affected by the January wildfires as part of its California debut. The three-day event will be held May 1–3, 2025 at Los Angeles City College and livestreamed across platforms via e360tv.

"This is more than a conference—it's a catalyst for community recovery and entrepreneurial resilience," said Devin Thorpe, CEO of The Super Crowd, Inc., the public benefit corporation hosting the event. "We're proud to bring SuperCrowd to California for the first time, and we want fire-impacted small business owners to have full access to the resources, training, and funding connections that can help them rebuild and grow."

The conference will feature a live pitch session showcasing high-impact startups, including:
Azure Printed Homes, a Los Angeles-based company using recycled materials to 3D-print affordable housing;
World Tree, a climate-focused business led by an LA-based CEO; and
Pivotal Health, a Wisconsin-based healthtech startup transforming access to urgent care.

Several of the investment crowdfunding industry's most prominent leaders—based right here in LA—will speak at the event, including:
Ron Miller, Co-Founder of StartEngine, which is co-hosting the event;
Johanna Cronin, Chief Marketing Officer of StartEngine;
Alexandria Fisher, CEO of Netcapital; and
Eric Cox, COO of Netcapital.

StartEngine and Netcapital are both Los Angeles-based, co-hosting and sponsoring SuperCrowdLA in the heart of the country's growing impact investing ecosystem.
