FindHomelessPeople.org is Clothing the Homeless: An Essential and Constant Need in Los Angeles
Volunteers from the Non-Profit Organization Understand the Value Delivering New Clothes to Those Who Need It Most
LONG BEACH, CA, August 12, 2022 -- Find Homeless People Inc., a California-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and volunteers gathered and distributed one of the most essential needs for the homeless, new clothes. For many months of the year, homeless individuals sleeping on concrete shiver at night. They wear as many layers as they have clothing to keep warm. Even during hot summer days, extra layers of clothing protect people from the sun.
Clothing is easily stolen from the homeless. What clothing they have is easily damaged or ruined. That's why volunteers with FindHomelessPeople.org regularly distribute high-quality clothing, and other essential goods throughout Los Angeles's most impacted areas such as the encampments found beneath the 405 and 10 freeways, and densely populated streets. Clothing donations were made possible by FindHomelessPeople.org's weekly outreach missions in Los Angeles County and Orange County California.
Every week, more than 115 people are provided clothing and other essential goods by volunteers representing Find Homeless People. Our deliveries include both fresh and shelf-stable foods, hygiene kits, new clothes and blankets, water bottles, and more. "Since March 2020, FindHomelessPeople.org has assisted more than 15,000 homeless people in Southern California. However, our outreach efforts are self-funded, so we need your help" said Homeless Outreach Organizer, Cesar Hernandez, who leads FindHomelessPeople.org's volunteer squads. Volunteers go into areas that are highly impacted by homelessness to supply homeless people with goods that they cannot access otherwise due to immobility or lack of transportation.
FindHomelessPeople.org is also dedicated to reconnecting missing persons with their families. "Our team of highly experienced private investigators has handled hundreds of missing person assignments as we've watched the Greater Los Angeles homeless population multiply several times," said Jim Reynolds, Founder of FindHomelessPeople.org. "We have the expertise, tools, and confidential resources to find the hard-to-find" Reynolds continued.
Any donation to Find Homeless People is 100% tax-deductible and 100% of your gift goes directly to essential goods that our volunteers will deliver at Skid Row and other highly populated homeless areas in Los Angeles County and Orange County, California. Shoes are especially needed because they are hard to come by for the homeless and are often stolen. Donations of sweatshirts, hoodies, t-shirts, new and unused underwear, socks, and seasonal wear are greatly appreciated.

In addition to free goods, each new homeless person that we contact is given a physical and mental assessment so that we can provide the best guidance toward more free resources including interim or permanent housing at local shelters or hotels, or consistent access to hot meals.
The organization plans to reach a practical, sustainable, long-term solution to homelessness by working directly with the State of California. Municipalities throughout Los Angeles County are currently considering implementing FindHomelessPeople.org's solutions to California's growing struggle against homelessness.
