Crimson Phoenix Continues to Soar Higher by Creating a Unique Culture in Government Contracting

Creating a company culture in government contracting can be difficult when most of your employees are on government sites away from the company. Crimson Phoenix has figured out a way to develop a positive culture in government contracting.

WASHINGTON, DC, August 11, 2022 -- Crimson Phoenix has been selected as one of Fortune Magazine's Top 100 Companies list for the second year in a row. This coincides with being certified as a "Great Place to Work" for both years as well. How do they do it? Each employee has an internal Program Manager that gives them real-time support 24/7. No employee's voice or input goes unnoticed. The company also promotes within before looking to outside sources for growth. Crimson Phoenix promoted 12 employees to the Director or Management level in the past year. CEO Phil Hubbell stated, "When we started Crimson Phoenix, we wanted to build a company that puts employees first, and it is truly a great honor to receive such recognition. It motivates us as a company to keep investing in our employees while maintaining our core values."

Crimson Phoenix values the need to build a culture outside of the office and prides themselves on doing the little things that make a difference. Crimson Phoenix has an employee of the quarter, an employee of the year, and shares profits with employees each year. CEO Phil Hubbell has also been known to send handwritten notes to employees when they are recognized for their hard work. They also have a lot of company events that are a big hit with their employees. For example, the company had over 200 guests at their annual summer picnic, filled with prizes, food and trucks, a moon bounce, and plenty of games for the kids! Since Crimson Phoenix has employees all over the country, it was also great to see many of them fly in for the picnic. Chief Operating Officer Tyler Crockett shared, "I never envisioned making Fortune Magazine's Top 100 list when I first thought of Crimson Phoenix in 2019. My only goal back then was to have a great name you would not forget, combined with a great culture. I think we have accomplished that."

How do they build a culture inside the office? Each employee is assigned to a team based on their skill set. For example, the company has teams of Graphic Designers, Instructional Designers, and Data Scientists. This is very helpful for an employee if they get stuck on a project or want a second opinion on their work; they have a group of people they can go to for support or brainstorming. Chief Growth Officer Brad Becker attributes the company's growth to forward-thinking and paving ways to success for employees. This also helps the company as they continue to write more winning proposals.

Crimson Phoenix will be celebrating this honor in September with a Soiree.
