New Full Time Orthodontic Practice opens in Carlsbad, New Mexico
Board Certified Orthodontist Dr. James Waters Returns Home
CARLSBAD, NM, May 12, 2022 -- New businesses continue to open in Carlsbad, New Mexico as the city, located in the southeastern corner of the state, maintains its leading status in growth. Cavern City Orthodontics, a practice run by Carlsbad native Dr. James R. Waters, recently opened its doors to serve the needs of the community.
Orthodontic care has been an area that has been lacking for residents in Carlsbad. With limited practices in the area being operated part time by out of town providers, Dr. Waters aims to fill this void and offer full-time, comprehensive care with his practice being operated by local staff.
"I'm a Carlsbad native who has been practicing in Austin, TX for the last twenty years. I sold my practices in Austin so my wife and I could return home to Carlsbad and bring everything that is good from a modern, big city practice but with small town service and a local vibe," said Dr. Waters. Growth in Carlsbad continues at a high rate. Already boasting the fastest growth in the state at 15.8% according to the most recent US Census numbers, Carlsbad has a number of new retail and restaurant businesses slated to open in 2022. In a recent study released by the financial consulting firm SmartAsset, Eddy County's (in which Carlsbad is seated) business growth ranked number one in New Mexico. The county's rank of 5.9% growth is nearly double any other county in the state. Additionally, the county also ranked first in incoming business investment at 58.3%.
