Q: What does being a consumer choice award winner mean to you? How did winning the Consumer Choice Award impact your business?
A: It is an absolute honour and is very humbling to have won the CCA two years in a row. Bringing our clients the best experience, top notch service and treatments is our top priority so to have our clients vote for us means the world.
Q: What makes your business unique in the market?
A: We are a collaborative multidisciplinary healthcare facility with the best specialists working under one roof. We collaborate as a team to ensure the best course of treatments is created for every individual that walks through our door because we understand that not everyone reacts the same to the same treatment. Our atmosphere is warm, inviting and our facility is more like a spa because we know that when our clients feel good in the environment they are in, results are achieved at a much faster rate.
Q: What is one major decision you make on a daily basis?
A: On a daily basis, our team discusses how we can improve treatment plans for our clients. We are honoured that our clients choose to entrust us with their health and we take that very seriously so we collaborate to see what is working for our clients and what needs to be eliminated or adjusted. Communication is key to a successful outcome.
Q: What is the next priority for your business?
A: Educating our clients about our services and how they can benefit from them. We would also like to start educating young parents about what to look for as their child grows. If you catch certain things in time, you can prevent a lot of health issues in their future. By holding open houses our goal is to spread the message about preventative health care and how it can help you avoid unnecessary use of pharmaceutical drugs which kill your body with each pill you take.
Q: What are the "core values" of your organization?
A: Our core value is to provide the best collaborative multidisciplinary healthcare facility enabling us to provide the best care for all of our clients. What we want people to do is simple - "Fall in Love with Taking Care of Yourself. Mind. Body. Spirit."
Q: What makes you/your company successful?
A: We follow simple rules at Humber Bay Physio which makes us successful:
1) Work as a team
2) Communicate clearly without fear and always with respect
3) Work hard but have fun
Q: Where do the great ideas come from in your organization? (Team decisions, management decision etc.)
A: Great ideas come from various sources (clients, team, nature, kids etc) - the key is to have an open mind. What might seem like a silly suggestion/idea might actually lead to something significant. Just like how there is no bad question, there is no such thing as a bad idea.
Q: What is ONE characteristic that you believe helped you through your career?
A: Perseverance. We are never given anything that we cannot handle. When faced with what seems to be a difficult situation it's best to take a step back and try to see the big picture.

If you could only use ONE word to describe yourself, what would it be?... Driven.
What hobby would you get into if time and money were not an issue?... Ballroom Dancing.
What is your favourite quote?... "Every battle is won before it's ever fought." Sun Tzu
You've just won the lottery, what is your first biggest purchase?... I wouldn't purchase anything expensive because the maintenance comes at a great cost. I would pay off all the debts, set-up a separate account which would allow those who are unable to afford treatment to utilize our services, and invest what is remaining.
What gets you out of bed every day?... Love for life, family, animals and people.
