Indie Artist Seth Hilary Jackson is Calling All Elephants and Donkeys

New song reminds a divided America that we're still "One Great Nation"

CLIFFSIDE PARK, NJ, December 02, 2022 -- In his new single, "One Great Nation", indie singer-songwriter Seth Hilary Jackson, sends a wakeup call to his fellow Americans: We've got a good thing here; let's not blow it.

"It breaks my heart to see what's happening in this country politically. There are two sides that basically hate each other, and it seems that they care more about hurting each other than the common good", Seth laments. "People talk about making America great, and I think we all want that, but there's a right and a wrong way to do it. We can't be the United States if we treat each other as the enemy. I don't expect all Americans to join hands and sing 'Kumbaya', but we gotta live together."

In addition to politics, Seth's music explores topics from relationships to mental health, with songs ranging from sad to silly. His signature sound can be described as classic rock with a dash of country and a hint of pop. Seth likes to quip that he's genre-fluid.

A successful songwriter for more than 20 years, Seth has had dozens of songs placed with recording artists, movies, and TV shows. One of his proudest moments came when his tribute to a war hero, "Pfc Ross A. McGinnis," led to a Presidential invitation to the White House.

Originally from Brooklyn, Seth's first musical love was Beatles. He stumbled into a Grateful Dead concert in 1973 and has been a "Deadhead" ever since. He wrote his first song in his final semester at the Wharton School, where he earned his MBA. The song, called "The Job Search Blues", made light of the frantic and frustrating process of job hunting. The second song he ever wrote, entitled "The Atomic Bop", received airplay on WAAF-FM in the Boston area, which got him started on the road to a career in songwriting.
