SCOTTSDALE, AZ, May 16, 2022 -- International Artist Publishing is proud to announce the 200th Issue of American Art Collector, a milestone that will be celebrated with the June 2022 issue. The monthly publication, which debuted to American art collectors with the October 2005 issue, will mark this important milestone with a packed issue that will honor the magazine's past, but also look ahead within the world of American contemporary realism.

Features within the issue include a welcome from the magazine's publishers, Wendie Martin and Adolfo Castillo; a letter from the magazine's founder, Vincent Miller; a special thank-you message to some of the long-time supporters of the magazine; and a look-back on five artists who have had multiple covers over the course of 200 issues. Those artists include some of the top artists working today: Michael Carson, Yana Movchan, Brad Kunkle, Jeremy Mann and Andrea Kowch. Fans of Kowch's work will be especially thrilled to catch a glimpse of her newest work, and see the homes and museums that now own some of her most iconic paintings, many of which appeared on the cover of American Art Collector.

The June issue will also feature an in-depth examination by Santa Fe editor John O'Hern on how the magazine's preview-focused approach has transformed the art world. "Offering collectors, the opportunity to see something in the magazine and to purchase it from a gallery certainly beats their seeing something in a review only to learn they'd missed out on it," O'Hern writes in the feature.

"American Art Collector was created, from the very beginning, to showcase gallery previews for collectors," adds Wendie Martin. "Before we arrived on the scene with our premiere issue in October 2005, gallery previews were unheard of within the art market. Over the past 16 years we have supported and celebrated the success of galleries and artists across the country. Our 200th issue is full of both contemporary takes on today's art world and a few nostalgic nods to features from our past."

Managing editor Michael Clawson also weighed in on the importance of the issue: "If you go back and look at our first issue from October 2005, you will notice a slightly different magazine…[But] one element of this publication has never faded, never faltered and is today as strong as ever. That one thing is the goal that drives us through every issue: to bring our readers the best artwork on the market so they can make informed choices about the art in their lives. That's the engine that drives American Art Collector—in this issue, and the 199 that came before it."

The 200th Issue of American Art Collector is now on newsstands, and to help celebrate, the magazine is releasing a special offer for new subscribers. Use promo code "AAC200" to get 20% off on www.americanartcollector.com.
