FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, October 20, 2021 -- Florida Appeals is proud to announce the opening of a new South Florida location in Fort Lauderdale at One Financial Plaza, Floor 1000, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida 33394. Upon being approached by her team member Erin Newell, a Fort Lauderdale resident, firm founder Shannon McLin recognized the benefits of having a South Florida physical location to serve the firm's clients and trial lawyers.
The Fort Lauderdale office is strategically located an equal distance between the Fourth District Court of Appeal and the Third District Court of Appeal, where fellow Florida Appeals' lawyer and Miami resident, Melissa Alagna, served as a law clerk.
The firm's appellate lawyers represent clients in appeals to all five of Florida's district courts of appeal, the Supreme Court of Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit Court, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Its of counsel members include two former appellate judges, Earle W. Peterson, Jr. and William D. Palmer, who both served as Chief Judge on the Fifth District Court of Appeal.
