Amy Rivera Announces the Release of Book

"Drop The Skirt: How My Disability Became My Superpower"

ST. LOUIS, MO, September 25, 2021 -- Disabilities Activist Amy Rivera will be available for interviews as she celebrates the paperback and ebook release of her memoir "Drop The Skirt: How My Disability Became My Superpower." A St. Louis native, Rivera was born with a rare incurable genetic disorder that doctors misdiagnosed until her 30s. Her right leg swelled until it was 200% bigger than her left leg. This is the story of how she overcame the worst of her disability, dropping to just 3% bigger than her left leg, and started a foundation to help people with lymphedema.

Ninjas Fighting Lymphedema Foundation is a 501(c)3 founded for the purpose of building a community of people affected by lymphedema to ensure no one suffers alone. NFLF educates and empowers people to take an active role in spreading awareness about this underdiagnosed disorder.
