Newbridge Spine & Pain Center Welcomes New Physician to Waldorf

Aaron McPeek, D.O. is now seeing patients in Waldorf, Maryland

WALDORF, MD, July 21, 2021 -- Newbridge Spine & Pain Center, a premier interventional pain management facility dedicated to the treatment of chronic pain, has recently added Dr. Aaron McPeek to its Southern Maryland team of pain management providers!

Aaron McPeek, D.O., is a native of NJ. He received his undergraduate education at Rutgers University. After completion of college, he received a master's degree and began his career as an Anesthesiologist Assistant. He then returned to medical school and received his medical degree from Rowan University in NJ.

He completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He then completed fellowship training in Chronic Pain Management at Thomas Jefferson. Dr. McPeek is trained in a wide array of interventional pain management procedures to help alleviate his patient's pain and improve their quality of life as well as eliminates the need for opioid medication.

Dr. McPeek was guided to become a doctor through his own experience with pain due to a sports injury that required 2 corrective surgeries. After being in pain for months following his injury, he came to the realization and found renewed appreciation in how important it is to feel good each day, and how detrimental pain can be to our quality of life. He says, "This was what sparked my initial interest in medicine and pain management. Having gone through this experience, I believe it made me much more empathetic towards people who have to live with debilitating chronic pain conditions." Regaining his quality of life after pain is what allowed him to get back to his active lifestyle. He is an avid hiker, golfer, and is looking forward to enjoying the water sports and activities of the Chesapeake Bay in Southern Maryland.

Dr. McPeek brings his multidisciplinary philosophy and experience in unique treatment techniques, such as Nerve Blocks, Radio Frequency Ablation, and Neuromodulation. He says, "I believe in treating the whole patient with special attention to the impact pain can have on their quality of life and mental health. I believe in using medications if indicated but try to avoid over-prescribing of medications. I like to use a team approach when working with patients to treat their pain. It is a partnership with the patient, and I enjoy working with them to reach their quality of life and activity goals."

At Newbridge Spine & Pain Center, Dr. McPeek will be working alongside our team of highly qualified, dedicated, and trusted Pain Management Specialists who have established a reputation for excellence in pain management. Dr. McPeek exemplifies Newbridge Spine & Pain Center's standard of excellence in upholding its reputation for being the premier trusted pain management facility in the Waldorf area.
