Raising Money for the Adopt a Single Mom Project - Christmas Wishes of Love
Vintage Tub & Bath and its employees raised more than $1300 for single moms
MOUNTAIN TOP, PA, January 13, 2021 -- The holidays are all about giving, which is why every year Vintage Tub & Bath and its employees come together to donate to a local charity or non-profit. During the 2020 holiday season, Vintage Tub & Bath was a proud supporter of the Adopt a Single Mom Project - Christmas Wishes of Love. Vintage Tub & Bath employees had a goal to raise $500, with the company matching 100% of donations from employees. Within a week, Vintage Tub & Bath employees raised almost $700, donating more than $1300 to the Adopt a Single Mom Project - Christmas Wishes of Love.
According to the Adopt a Single Mom Project, there are 14,376 single moms in Luzerne and Lackawanna County, PA. More than half of those single moms are in the GAP above the poverty level. Every holiday season, the Adopt a Single Mom Project collects monetary donations, which are used to purchase gifts for single moms in several Pennsylvania counties. "With the help of Vintage Tub & Bath, we raised over $29,000 and gifted 200 working single moms. Our 45 volunteers shopped for those 200 moms, gift wrappers wrapped more than 1,200 presents, and the delivery team spread joy hand-delivering to moms in seven Northeastern Pennsylvania counties," said Donna Nelson, Founder of Adopt a Single Mom Project.
With the donation from Vintage Tub & Bath, the Adopt a Single Mom Project was able to provide Christmas gifts for 13 hard-working, single moms. "There are so many single moms who work hard to provide for their children. Vintage Tub & Bath was more than happy to participate in Christmas Wishes of Love. We hope our small donation brought a smile to their faces on Christmas morning," said Daniel Brady, Vice President of Finance & Operations, Vintage Tub & Bath.
