New Scholarship From The Birth Injury Lawyers Group Will Award $2,500 To Student Affected By Cerebral Palsy

Applicants Must Write an Essay Detailing How Cerebral Palsy Has Affected Their Educational Goals

PHOENIX, AZ, December 05, 2019 -- The Birth Injury Lawyers Group announced it is offering a new, $2,500 scholarship to college-bound students who have been diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

"As we work with medical specialists and life care planning experts, we see the challenges that those affected by cerebral palsy face," said attorney Robert Goldwater of the Birth Injury Lawyers Group. "That is why we started this scholarship to help dedicated students with cerebral palsy seize educational opportunities and fight for their goals."

Goldwater is a parent to triplets, two of whom were diagnosed with cerebral palsy, making his work as a birth injury lawyer especially meaningful to him.

Criteria for Cerebral Palsy Scholarship

To qualify as an eligible scholarship applicant, a student must have received a cerebral palsy diagnosis. They must currently be enrolled in high school with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher. Furthermore, the student must already have been accepted to a four-year university or college. All applicants are required to agree to the Terms and Conditions as outlined in the scholarship information page on the Birth Injury Lawyers Group website.

How to Apply for the Scholarship

Any student interested in applying for the Birth Injury Lawyers Group Cerebral Palsy Scholarship must complete the application form which includes a mechanism for uploading any relevant documents on the scholarship information page on the Birth Injury Lawyers Group website. Applicants may not email their applications and supporting documentation.

The deadline for applying for the Birth Injury Lawyers Group Cerebral Palsy Scholarship is June 15, 2020. The firm will contact the winner by email and/or phone in August of 2020.

How the Winner Will Be Determined

Goldwater's personal experiences with his children enable him to anticipate the challenges that students with cerebral palsy face. "I know that the winner of this scholarship will put it to good use in pursuit of a college degree," he said.

In keeping with this spirit, the Cerebral Palsy Scholarship will ask applicants to write and submit an essay responding to the following question:

"How has cerebral palsy affected your educational goals and how will the scholarship money help you in reaching your academic goals?"

The applicant will be chosen based on their background, academic achievements, and the essay that best embodies the spirit of hope that the Birth Injury Lawyers Group wishes to impart to children with cerebral palsy who might doubt their potential in life.

"The winner of this scholarship is someone we believe will make the most of it, will be an unstoppable force when it comes to pursuing their academic goals and their life goals," Goldwater says. "They shall serve as a role model, a living embodiment of the possibilities that lie ahead for someone with cerebral palsy. They will be a beacon of hope."
