Attorney Melvin B. Wright Inducted as a Fellow of the International Society of Barristers
Partner at Colling Gilbert Wright & Carter has been serving personal injury clients in Central Florida for over 30 years
ORLANDO, FL, February 05, 2019 -- The law firm of Colling Gilbert Wright & Carter on Thursday announced that partner attorney Melvin Wright has been selected as a fellow of the International Society of Barristers (ISOB). The ISOB is a multinational fellowship of lawyers dedicated to the preservation of the independence of the judges and courts, the right to trial by jury, and legal advocacy with superior standards of conduct and ethics among all parties in an adversarial legal system.
Membership in ISOB is by invitation only.

Wright has dedicated his legal practice to representing plaintiffs in personal injury cases for over 30 years. These include serious injury and wrongful death claims involving car and truck accidents, accidents on dangerous premises and job sites, medical malpractice, defective products, nursing home abuse, and more. Additional achievements include board certification in civil trial law by both The Florida Bar and the National Board of Trial Advocacy, as well as selection as a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). Wright is the immediate past president of the Central Florida Chapter of ABOTA.
After nomination by a current fellow, prospective members of ISOB are subject to extensive "inquiry as to the nominee's skill as a trial lawyer and personal and professional integrity directed to other Barristers in the nominee's region and to judges before whom the nominee has tried cases," according to the organization website. After the intensive screening process, election is subject to a vote by the ISOB Board of Governors.
